It is possible to distinguish between a concave mirror and a convex mirror based on their shapes and optical effects. With its internal curvature, a concave mirror has the ability to bring light rays together. Parallel rays are brought together at a focus point by this convergence, creating true, inverted, and enlarged pictures. The size and placement of the picture are significantly influenced by the distance between the object and the mirror. On the other hand, a convex mirror that is curved outward diverges light beams, creating virtual, upright, and dim pictures. Convex mirrors are used in equipment like telescopes, satellite dishes, and makeup mirrors because of their image properties, whereas concave mirrors are used in applications like security and surveillance systems.
