The New Vishwanath Temple was established by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, Pandit ji established the Banaras Hindu University. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The foundation of this 252 feet high Shrine was laid in March 1931, and it took almost three decades to complete it. The new Vishwanath temple is a large complex. There are seven temples in this complex, in which idols of many gods and goddesses have been installed.
