Hampi Festivals

Also known as Vijaya Utsava, the Hampi festival is a grandiose affair in South India. Held every year at the Virupaksha Temple, the festivities are set against the picturesque backdrop of the ruins of Hampi. The Kannadigas showcase their artistic, musical, and dance prowess, drawing visitors from all over the world. The festival's primary draw is a concert of folk songs called Janapada Kala Vahini. You can buy little items and handicrafts from stalls lining the streets. Colour, lights, and excitement are found everywhere, creating the aura of a grand celebration. There are planned colourful processions with adorned elephants, traditional artwork, and cultural exhibits. These processions' opulence is a reflection of Hampi's regal past. In addition, the event features displays that highlight the handicrafts and artwork produced locally, giving guests a chance to peruse and buy unique pieces made in the area.
