Gowri Festivals
The Hindu festival of Gowri Habba, also called Swarna Gowri Vratam, is observed in Karnataka and other regions of South India. It is devoted to Goddess Gowri, who is revered as Lord Ganesha's mother. The celebration, which features unique rituals and prayers, is celebrated the day before Ganesh Chaturthi. The festival's primary focus is on the worship of Goddess Gowri. Particularly married ladies perform the Gowri Habba rites in order to ask the goddess for her blessings for their families' well-being.
