Alagappa University, Alagappapuram is a public state university established in Hazaribagh Jharkhand. The institution is almost three decades old, and is headed by chancellor Draupadi Murmu and Vice Chancellor Mukul Narayan Deo. As far as the university is concerned, the university has an approval from UGC. The university has 22 constituent colleges and around 70 affiliated colleges that offer courses and education at UG, PG, and PhD levels.
