Volkswagen Group India declared that it would phase out the diesel engine in India ahead of the BS6 implementation. In keeping with the growing anti-diesel attitude among Indian customers and various automakers' strategies. The Kushaq is available in petrol only with a locally made 1.0-liter TSI engine and a 1.5-liter TSI engine.
