Description
The Pixelbook is made of aluminum and white plasticcarbonate and measures 10.3mm thick. It is designed to look and function like the Pixel smartphones. The display is 12 inches in size and has a native resolution 2,400 x 1,600 pixels.
The 3:2 aspect ratio makes scrolling up/down easier than on a traditional widescreen display. Additionally, the 235ppi pixel density ensures that it is only marginally sharper compared to an Apple "Retina".
It's also fully multitouch-enabled. This is an insignificant advancement, as previous Pixel versions had touchscreens. The Pixelbook now has full access the Google PlayStore which allows you to download and install Android apps along with traditional web-based applications.
