What side effects can efavirenz cause

Other possible side effects of efavirenz include:

Nervous system symptoms, including dizziness, drowsiness, trouble sleeping, unusual dreams, and trouble concentrating. (These symptoms usually go away within 2 to 4 weeks of beginning treatment. However, they may become worse if you drink alcohol, take a medicine for mental health problems, or use certain street drugs.)
Seizures, which are more likely to happen if you have had seizures in the past.
