The Ganga Aarti that takes place in Varanasi is very grand and religious. A lot of incense sticks are lit in the Ganga Aarti of Kashi, the lamps that are lit have a great fire and these lamps are very heavy. When Ganga Aarti is performed in Varanasi, everyone devotee takes Aarti from innumerable small lamps and flows the lit lamps into the river Ganges; it is also a pleasant feeling to see these lamps burning in the river. This Aarti lasts for 45 minutes at 7:00 PM in summer and 6:30 PM in winter. The evening Aarti is more famous in Banaras; this Aarti starts at 7 pm. Ganga Aarti in Varanasi: Morning: 6:30 AM in winter and 5:00 AM in other seasons.
