Description
If the Shraadh Puja is not done for three consecutive years then Tripindi Shraadh Puja must be performed so that the souls of ancestors can rest in peace. This ritual should be done on any day of Panchami, Ashtami, Ekadashi, Teras, Choudas or Amavas (Shukla or Krishna fortnight) of Shravan month, Kartik, Pousha, Magh, Phalgun and Vaishak. Usually, Sun remains in Libra or Virgo from September to November and during this period Pitars or ancestors are allowed to freely come to the Earth. This is the period of Pitru Paksha hence performing Tripindi Shraadh during this period is more beneficial.
