Gastritis

Gastritis is a general term for a group of conditions with one thing in common: inflammation of the lining of the stomach.
Gastritis may occur suddenly (acute gastritis), or appear slowly over time (chronic gastritis). In some cases, gastritis can lead to ulcers and an increased risk of stomach cancer.

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS

Burning ache or pain (indigestion) in your upper abdomen that may become either worse or better with eating.
Nausea.
Vomiting.
A feeling of fullness in your upper abdomen after eating.

CAUSES
----------
Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori): A bacteria that lives in the mucous lining of the stomach; without treatment, the infection can lead to ulcers, and in some people, stomach cancer.
Bile reflux: A backflow of bile into the stomach from the bile tract (that connects to the liver and gallbladder).
Infections caused by bacteria and viruses.

Increasing vasoactive intestinal peptide and nitric oxide in plasma, gastric mucosal and bulb tissues, and elevating expression of vasoactive intestinal peptide in antral smooth muscle.
