Trademark Opposition is a legal right to oppose a specific trademark and submit a notice against it with the Trial and Appeal Board for a fee. When a Trademark Registration application is filed in India, the Trademark Registrar publishes it in the Trademark Journal, and any individual or third party has four months from the date of publication to file a Trademark Opposition to the application. The online status of Trademark Registration will indicate "Opposed" if an opposition has been filed against your trademark application.
