Description

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) gives people who live in India a 12-digit unique ID number called Aadhaar. The national identity card is another name for it. The government has been trying to link UIDAI to the list of voters to stop people from voting for other people.

4. The Issue Of Linking Aadhaar With Voter List In Rajkot Is Delayed 2023
Linking Aadhaar to the voting list is taking longer than planned in Rajkot. The Election Commission says that it will not agree to take names of voters who are already listed off of future voter lists. The goal was to clean up the system and make it possible for more people to take part.

The government's Social Security System (SSS) has been running pilot projects to check the identities of voters in states where local governments didn't have the means or technical know-how to do so. In some cases, local governments like town councils or panchayats did a good job of putting the plan into action, but they couldn't process 80% of the data because there weren't enough resources at the state level.

Because of this, they ruled some names invalid or wrote them down as "no response received." This situation has kept the status quo set by the British Empire hundreds of years ago, when India got its freedom and introduced democracy, which led to riots and deaths.
