The State Museum Bhopal is inaugurated on 2nd November 2005, is situated on Shyamla Hills and is a fine example of beautiful architecture in Madhya Pradesh. Initially, the museum was established in 1909 A.D. by the then ruler of Bhopal with the name of Edward Museum and was administered in the present day’s Central Library. After the state of Madhya Pradesh was formed, the museum was transferred to another building at Banganga Road.
