The word "voile" derives from the French word for veil, and it refers to the fabric's inherent characteristics of being light-weight and semi-sheer. Voile fabric is made from Indian and Egyptian cotton yarns and is crisp but soft against the skin (best across the globe). Horizontal strands (also known as weft yarns) float over and beneath vertical (or warp) yarns in the plain weave voile fabric, which has a grid-like pattern. We also manufacture dobby and jacquard designs in voile fabric, such as satin strips, leno borders, brand name writing on the selvedge, and so on, in addition to plain weave. Widths range from 36 inches (92 cms) to 67 inches (170 cms), with Greige, Dyed, and Printed options available.
