Sankat Mochan Temple is a very proven and miraculous temple of 'Balaji'. It is believed that the establishment of this temple took place where Mahakavi Tulsidas had the dream of Hanuman ji for the first time. Sankat Mochan Mandir was founded by poet Tulsidas. He was the author of Ramcharitmanas, the Awadhi version of Ramayana composed by Valmiki. A grand procession is taken out on Hanuman Jayanti from Maa Durga temple to Sankat Mochak temple. In this temple the idol of Shri Hanuman ji is installed in front of Shri Ram.
