Amer Fort is an ancient fort located in Amer, Rajasthan, India. Amer is a town with an area of 4 square kilometres, located very near to Jaipur, the capital city of the west Indian state of Rajasthan. It was established by Raja Alan Singh Meena who was a ruler belonging to Meenas - a tribe found in Rajasthan, in 967 CE.
