Quality Engineer Lean Manufacturing & Quality Systems
Job Description
The main "Quality Standards Anchor" and "Defect Prevention Guardian" in each of our production sites is the Quality Engineer-production Operations & Quality Assurance. Your main responsibility is to set up, implement, and oversee quality control systems throughout all stages of production, including incoming raw materials, in-process assembly, and final product sign-off, while production teams concentrate on line throughput and maintenance teams maintain machinery uptime. As the "Guardian of First Pass Yield, Process Capability, Non-Conformance Reduction, Customer Reject Resolution, ISO/IATF Compliance, and Zero-Defect Manufacturing," you assume direct execution responsibility for making sure that each component manufactured closely conforms with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and legal requirements.

Responsibilities:
In-Process & Final Quality Assurance: To stop faulty products from reaching customers, create, manage, and audit quality inspection plans, control plans, and standard operating procedures on manufacturing lines.
High-quality core instruments Execution: Conduct Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), run Measurement System Analysis (MSA), oversee Statistical Process Control (SPC) control charts, and oversee Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions for new products.
Resolution of Customer Claims and Root Cause Analysis: To perform long-term corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), look into internal non-conformances and external customer quality complaints using organised 8D Problem Solving, 5-Why Analysis, or Fishbone Diagrams.
Compliance with ISO/IATF standards, internal quality audits, documentation registers, and external supplier or customer audit reviews are all part of the Quality Management System (QMS).

Skills:
Manufacturing Quality & Core Tools Expertise: Comprehensive working knowledge of PFMEA, MSA, PPAP, and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
Root Cause Analysis & Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to eradicate persistent product flaws using organised problem-solving frameworks (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone diagrams, Kaizen, Six Sigma DMAIC).
Quality Standards & Metrology Literacy: Excellent knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) drawing interpretation, ISO/IATF quality management systems, and precision measuring tools (CMM, Vernier callipers, micrometres).
Process Capability & Data Analytics: The capacity to identify process variation and apply process capability enhancements by conducting statistical analyses on production sample batches.
