The Pradhan Mantri Krishi Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is a flagship scheme of the Government of India that aims to promote agricultural and allied sector growth in the country. The scheme was launched in 2015 and is currently in its second phase.
Under the PMKVY, various initiatives are being undertaken to improve the productivity and incomes of farmers, as well as to create infrastructure and support services in the agricultural sector. These include providing training and extension services, setting up agri-clinics and agri-business centers, and establishing farmer producer organizations. In addition, the scheme also provides financial assistance to farmers for adopting new technologies and practices.
