Fructose is a carbohydrate, an organic compound in which five of the six carbon atoms are arranged in a ring to which are attached the hydrogen atoms and hydroxy (−OH) groups that make up the molecule. Organic Fructose is a natural, simple sugar often found in fresh vegetables, fruits and honey. It needs to be converted to glucose by the liver before it can be used as energy to body. Fructose has lower glycemic index (GI) in comparison to sugar or glucose.
