Mount Kailash

Mount Kailash is a sacred mountain located in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. It is part of the Transhimalaya range and is considered a significant pilgrimage site in Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Bon. Many devotees undertake the arduous pilgrimage known as the Kailash Manasarovar Yatra, which involves circumambulating the mountain on foot. The pilgrimage route often includes a visit to Lake Manasarovar, another sacred site in the region. Mount Kailash is distinctive for its symmetrical pyramidal shape and is considered one of the world's most sacred peaks. It stands at an elevation of 6,638 meters (21,778 feet) above sea level.
