The Modhera Sun Temple (not to be confused with the Sun Temple in Konark , Odisha ) is a Hindu temple dedicated to the sun God (solar deity) Surya located at Modhera village of Mehsana district in the west Indian state of Gujarat. The Sun Temple was built in the 11th century AD - during the reign of the Chaulukya dynasty, somewhere between 1022 and 1064 CE.
