Malhun Hatun was the wife of Osman Ghazi and the mother of Orhan Ghazi and another Ottoman Sultan. Although there had been many rumours that she was the daughter of Sheikh Edebali, many historians now agree that she was the daughter of the Anatolian Turkish Bey, Omer Bey. According to other records, she was the daughter of Anatolian Seljuk Vizier Mer Abdülaziz Bey.
