Maha Mrityunjaya puja at Trimbakeshwar

Mahamrityunjaya Mantra Puja was composed by Shukracharya who is considered to be the guru of Rakshas (demons). This mantra is praising Lord Shiva. No one can define the kindness, power and greatness of Lord Shiva. The words "Shiva" or "Shankar" mean auspicious. "Sam" means "Chitananda" (blissful awareness) and "Kara" means the one who caused it. It is Shankara who bestows Chitananda on those who take refuge or worship him.
