Loop reactor is very useful in making a continuous flow of fluid in a tube. The pressure of the fluid increases as the fluid travels through the tube. The pressure inside the tube can be increased to such a level where it can be used to create a collimated flow of the fluid.

This can be accomplished using a venturi tube. The gas used should be inert and should not get pulled into the loop. This will result in a reduction in pressure caused by the inert gas and it will affect the overall pressure within the tube.From a reaction point of view, it is very useful in carrying out such reactions and is commonly known as a Venturi Loop reactor or Loop reactor.
