Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary
Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary was established in 1972 as a protected area and is located in the Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh. Its primary goals were to preserve the area's rich biodiversity and offer a safe haven for a variety of wildlife species, such as the Indian leopard, spotted deer, sambar deer, wild boar, and several bird species. Under Project Tiger, the Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary and the Dudhwa National Park were designated as tiger reserves.
