Jamia Millia Islamia University was founded in the year 1920 at Aligarh in the United Provinces. It was moved from Aligarh to Karol Bagh, New Delhi in the year 1925. Jamia Millia Islamia University achieved the tag of a Central University in the year 1988 under the Act of Indian Parliament. This University aims at providing education to the students irrespective of their colour, caste and creed.
