In the settling process of wastewater treatment, water is purified by settling particles in the wastewater. However, contaminants whose specific gravity is lower than water are made to be floated to the water surface rather than settled down in order to be separated from the water. Also, the treatment method to float contaminants which have low specific gravity by pressurizing air is called dissolved air flotation.
