HP Printer Going Offline in Windows 10 means unable to communicate with the device that is sending the print job. The offline printer will be unable to receive and process new print jobs. Thus, all print tasks should be paused until the issue is rectified.

Set the Default Printer
You have to Press window + R, type the control panel, and hit enter.
Now you will need to open the Hardware and Sound option.
You will open the option Devices and Printer.
Click the printer’s right-click menu and select Set as default printer.
Please confirm your decision by clicking “yes” in the confirmation popup.
A green checkmark should appear next to the icon of your printer, indicating that it is the default.
