1. Know Your Compliance Level
Level 1 (6M+ transactions/year) → Requires a full QSA audit.
Level 2-4 (smaller businesses) → Fill out a Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ).
2. Use PCI-Compliant Payment Processors
Stripe, PayPal, Square handle most security for you.
Avoid storing card data yourself—tokenization is your friend!
3. Secure Your Website & Systems
Install an SSL certificate (???? HTTPS is a must!).
Run regular security scans (try tools like Qualys or Nessus).
Train employees on phishing scams & password security.
4. Submit Your Compliance Proof
Complete your SAQ (if applicable).
Get an Attestation of Compliance (AOC) if audited.
