Join us for an exhilarating trek perfect for beginners at Har Ki Dun! Nestled at an altitude of 3,566 meters, the Har Ki Dun trek offers stunning 360-degree views of majestic Himalayan peaks like Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, and Black Peak. This trek takes you through lush valleys, ancient villages, and pristine forests, providing a truly immersive experience in the heart of the Garhwal Himalayas.
Trek Highlights:
Summit Experience: Begin your journey at the crack of dawn, with headlamps illuminating the path. Though not a technical climb, Har Ki Dun offers the thrills and challenges of a summit trek, making it ideal for beginners.
Scenic Trails: Covering 47 km over 7 days, the trek starts from the quaint village of Sankri. The trail meanders through lush green valleys, verdant forests, and picturesque meadows, eventually leading to the Har Ki Dun valley.
Rich Flora and Fauna: Discover a variety of flora and fauna along the way, including Himalayan rhododendrons, chir pine, black bears, and a variety of bird species such as the Golden Eagle.
Breathtaking Views: From Har Ki Dun valley, take in panoramic views of the surrounding snow-clad peaks, including Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, and Kalanag.
Challenging Ascent: While the trek is not technically difficult, it involves long hours of hiking and gradual ascents, providing a sense of adventure and accomplishment for trekkers.
Day 1: Drive from Dehradun to Sankri (1950 m)
Day 2: Sankri (1950 m) to Taluka (2108 m) by road; Trek from Taluka (2108 m) to Pauni Garaat (2500 m)
Day 3: Pauni Garaat (2500 m) to Kalkattiyadhaar (3024 m)
Day 4: Kalkattiyadhaar (3024 m) to Har Ki Dun (3566 m) and back to Kalkattiyadhaar (3024 m)
Day 5: Kalkattiyadhaar (3024 m) to Pauni Garaat (2500 m)
Day 6: Trek from Pauni Garaat (2500 m) to Taluka (2108 m); Taluka (2108 m) to Sankri (1950 m) by road
Day 7: Sankri (1950 m) to Dehradun (640 m)
