- Godabarish Mohapatra (01-OCT-1898 / 25-NOV-1965) was an eminent Odia story writer and poet.
- He was also a social reformer, critique, and journalist of Odisha.
- He is best known as the editor of the monthly criticism magazine "Niankhunta" and the --monthly children's magazine "Tuan Tuin."
- Two of his most well-known stories, "Magunira Shagada" (1955) and "Nila Mastarani" (1958), were made into films.
- In 1959 and 1962, he received the Odisha Sahitya Academy Award for his poems "Kanta O Phula" and "Utha Kankala."
- In 1966, he received the Kendra Sahitya Academy Award for his poetical work "Banka O Sidha."
