Noida, India: A prestigious Festival of Documentary Films from Russia was successfully organised at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City, bringing together cinema lovers, filmmakers, and cultural enthusiasts for a remarkable celebration of meaningful storytelling through documentary cinema.
The festival was presented by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry and Asian Academy of Film & Television in association with the Indo Russia Film and Cultural Forum and World Public Summit India. The three-day event showcased a curated selection of powerful Russian documentary films, reflecting history, art, philosophy, and human values.

Addressing the audience, Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios, ICMEI, and Chair of the Indo Russia Film and Cultural Forum, emphasized the importance of such cultural exchanges. He stated that these initiatives strengthen diplomatic and cultural relations between India and Russia while promoting peace, understanding, and artistic collaboration through cinema.
“The festival reflects our continuous commitment to using art and culture as a bridge between nations. Documentary films are a powerful medium to present truth, history, and human emotions,” said Marwah.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of AAFT, filmmakers, and distinguished guests from the media and cultural fraternity. The festival not only provided a platform to appreciate Russian documentary cinema but also encouraged dialogue and collaboration between creative communities of both nations.
The Festival of Documentary Films stands as yet another milestone in promoting international cultural exchange and reinforcing the shared values of art, heritage, and global unity.
