The eighth edition of the Earth Care Awards (ECA), a joint project of The Times of India and the JSW Group, was recently held in the national capital to honor people, community groups, and corporations for their efforts to protect the environment. The ECA recognizes, verifies, and promotes replicable initiatives and interventions in the areas of greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction, natural resource conservation, energy efficiency improvement, and the development and promotion of innovative eco-friendly alternatives in various development sectors. Knowledge partner Centre for Environment Education (CEE) and outreach partner Technology, Education, Research and Rehabilitation for the Environment (TERRE) provide technical support for the prizes.
