Double Drum and Counter Flow Asphalt Plant Atlas Industries

Atlas Industries is a supplier of counter flow and double drum asphalt plants, which are different from parallel flow plants in terms of their design and operation. In a counter flow asphalt plant, the heating and mixing process takes place in separate drums, which are arranged in a way that the exhaust gases from the drying drum flow through the mixing drum in the opposite direction of the aggregates being fed into the mixing drum.

In contrast, a parallel flow asphalt plant has a single drum where the heating and mixing process occurs simultaneously. While parallel flow plants are generally less expensive to operate and maintain, they may not produce asphalt mix of the same quality as counter flow or double drum plants.
