Description

Despite the fact that JEE Main and Advanced are interwoven, the distinctions between them should not be neglected. The distinctions between these exams must be understood by students. JEE Main is overseen by the NTA, while JEE Advanced is overseen by the IITs on a rotating basis. JEE Main is also used to determine whether or not a candidate is eligible to take the JEE Advanced exam. The differences between JEE Main and JEE Advanced are explained in depth here.

What are JEE Main and JEE Advanced?

JEE Main is a nationwide entrance exam for admission to BE or B.Tech programmes at NITs and other educational institutions across the country. JEE Advanced is the prominent Indian Institutes of Technology's entrance test (IITs).

Eligibility: To take the JEE Main exam, no minimum percentage is required. Candidates for admission to NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs, on the other hand, must achieve at least 75% (65% for SC/ST students) on the qualifying exam.
Students can apply for the JEE Mains exams as many times as they like because there is no limit on how many times they can take them. They can, however, only take the JEE Advanced exams twice every two years.

Paper 1 and Paper 2 are the two portions of the JEE Advanced Exam. For the JEE Advanced exam, only the online (Computer Based Examination) method is employed. Students must take both the Paper 1 and Paper 2 exams in order to be admitted to engineering schools. Students who want to study architecture at one of the IITs must first pass Papers 1 and 2 before applying for the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT).
