Description
In the mid-1800 the method of injecting molten metal into a mold was patented to create a lead printer's type. By using pressure, the molten metal is forced into all portions of the mold, which then results in the ability to die-cast more complex parts with a higher quality surface finish. As the die casting process is quick, the mold is filled before any of the metal begins to solidify, which then results in more dimensionally stable parts.
