Data Base Installation and Configuration

Despite the fact that the installation methods for each type of database varied significantly, all of them include the following basic steps:
Install the foundational software.
Set up a backup for the database.
Create a user account for Services Gatekeeper to use while connecting to the database.
In a database, Identity Manager keeps track of transactional and historical data, such as schedules and audit data. A database must be installed and configured before the Identity Manager Server can be set up.
Every database has its own database configuration file. This file includes values for a number of database configuration options, including: Database parameters (such as database code page, collating sequence, and Db2® database release level) that were specified or used when the database was created.
