The minimum required to practice pharmacy in India is a D.Pharma degree. After completing this course, one may choose to pursue additional education, such as a Master's in Pharmacy, etc. Higher education can also be pursued abroad. In allied disciplines like pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutical marketing, management, etc., a Ph.D. can also be pursued.
For those who want to pursue a profession in medicine, there is a two-year, full-time undergraduate diploma course called the diploma in Pharmacy Course, or D.Pharma Course. It outlines the prerequisites needed to register as a pharmacist in India. It is a program in pharmaceutical sciences that is career-focused. The purpose of this course is to provide students with the fundamental skills needed to work in hospitals and pharmacies. Students will be prepared to work in hospitals, government or commercial pharmacies, and other pharmacy-related industries under the supervision of a certified pharmacist after completing this course.
