In general the conversion from CGPA to percentage entails a direct multiplication of the CGPA by some fixed factor or the application of a certain formula that the institution chooses to adopt. The process of conversion differs from university to university and country to country; some universities even include an official guide on how to convert CGPA. The idea is to convert the qualitative system of CGPA to a more quantitative percentage system which is easily appreciable among students. This conversion assists in the process of comparability of students’ academic performance indicators, as employers, other higher learning institutions or any other body in charge of educating students will be able to compare the performance of students on a standard scale.
