Ceramic PCB has drawn a lot of industry attention since they were first introduced as a practical fix for a variety of electrical problems. More and more industries are using ceramics for their PCB design due to their higher Thermal Conductivity and minimal signal loss at high frequencies. The main benefit ceramic provides over more traditional materials like FR4 and Metal Clad PCBs is heat dissipation. The transfer of heat through the boards is much more effective when components are put directly on the boards without the use of an isolation layer. Additionally, ceramic material has a very low CTE and can operate at high operating temperatures (above 800°C), providing more circuit design compatibility possibilities.
