The B.Pharm course is a four-year undergraduate programme in pharmacy that is broken into eight semesters. It is tailored to those who want to pursue a career in medicine or a related field. It is held on an annual and semester-by-semester basis. Students must have finished their 10+2 in the science stream to be eligible to register for this programme (PCB). In order to be admitted to this degree, students must additionally pass an entrance exam. A lateral entry path is also possible. In many countries, this degree is required to become a pharmacist; however, in India, a Diploma in Pharmacy can be obtained and a pharmacist can still practise.
Graduates of the B.Pharm Course can work in a range of fields, including patient counselling, lecturer, medication information specialist, quality control, and so on. The field of pharmacy is vast and ever-expanding. The emergence of new diseases, as well as the technology to identify remedies, is expanding at a rapid and proportional rate. Pharmacists are the world's leading legislators on anything from cancer to AIDS. They are in charge of determining the cause of ailments, as well as studying and testing new treatments until a cure is discovered.
Pharmacists are the most important members of the healthcare industry, which is concerned with the development, research, production, and distribution of medicines to consumers. The B.Pharm Course is a stepping stone for students who want to work in the healthcare and medical fields.
