Hire An illustrator develops a photo (this can be performed in very various means) to support a piece of message. Usually to clarify this message. He or she does this most of the times for a client.
For me illustration means: creating a picture to support a text or idea. Picture is different from art. Art can quickly be a stand alone piece, whereas picture is in a lot of situations developed around an idea or idea. In my understanding the distinction lies in the communication. Art does not necessarily need to interact with its target market although it may 'locate' a target market. Picture on the other hand is developed for the single objective of communicating with a target market
