Arc Spray Wire for Industrial Applications

At WWG Engineering, we refer to this process simply as Arc Spray. In general industrial terminology, it may also be called Metal Spray. As the name Arc Spray Wire implies, this process uses an electric arc to melt metallic wires. To create the arc, two Arc Spray Wires meet at the gun tip, where an electric current is applied. This generates a short-circuit arc that melts the Arc Spray Wires. Compressed air then atomizes the molten particles, spraying and depositing them onto the substrate, forming a lamellar coating layer through successive deposition.
