Air cooled Heat Exchanger

An air-cooled heat exchanger is a device that facilitates the transfer of heat between two fluids (usually a gas or liquid) and the surrounding air. Unlike traditional water-cooled exchangers, which rely on water to absorb heat, air-cooled heat exchangers utilize the ambient air to dissipate heat.

These systems are typically used in applications where water availability is scarce or where water discharge restrictions exist, making them an ideal solution in a wide variety of industries, including power generation, petrochemical, and manufacturing. The heat exchange process occurs when hot fluid flows through tubes while cooler ambient air is forced over the tubes by fans or natural convection, which results in the cooling of the fluid.
