Wetting Agents are surfactants. They reduce water's surface tension, allowing it to spread further and 'wet' surfaces. A wetting agent allows water to penetrate the soil more quickly, transporting it away from the sward and deeper into the root zone. They improve liquid contact with the leaf and nutrient uptake when used in foliar fertilizer applications.
