A very rare early version of Minecraft which was believed to be lost, has been rediscovered over ten years after its release. Minecraft alpha 1.1.1 was released for the original Java Edition in September 2010 and was only available for around three hours, and now it's been rediscovered by gaming historians. Over the years, there have been hundreds upon hundreds of Minecraft versions. Fans have meticulously collected and archived a lot of them to preserve. However minecraft crafting , called Alpha 1.1.1 or Seecret Saturday, was thought to be completely lost. It introduced fishing rods and infiltrating into Minecraft. However, it was found to have a bug that made the screen completely gray. Version 1.1.2 was released within hours. @lunasorcery, via Kotaku posted the complete story of its re-discovery on Twitter. Luna explains that Alpha 1.1.1 was a popular meme or holy grail in Discord Omniarchive's Minecraft archiving Discord Omniarchive. Nobody believed they would discover it. Someone stumbled across one of Luna's old tweets and asked her about it. She finally discovered a backup of minecraft.jar that was on the same date as Alpha 1.1.1's release on September 18, 2010. Luna verified that the file was Alpha 1.1.1 and posted about it on Omniarchive and it was later taken down. So I posted in the Omniarchive server and it's an understatement to say that a few people noticed. The reactions are enough to make you realize just how important this discovery is. I literally start shaking.
