Minecraft is a game you should play with your friends. Sometimes you will all be working together to create something amazing, other times you'll use mods to recreate Eldenring and other times you'll browse servers online to see what the internet can offer. Sometimes, things can go sour when you play online with strangers. That is what the most recent Minecraft snapshot is aiming to fix. Minecraft snapshot 22W24A is out right now, and is building towards 1.19.1 by introducing several bug fixes as well as two new features. MINECRAFT The most important one is chat reporting that lets you report players who are sending "abusive messages" in chat game. It is important to note that the blog's explanation states that "any reports made during the testing phase may not be acted upon," but the ability to eliminate players who are abusive is an essential element of any online game, so this could be an important option. Chat reporting is available on the social interactions screen. Minecraft servers You'll need to report individual chat messages and select the appropriate category. This will stop abuse of the system. You cannot create a generic report on a user. You must specify the actions they took. Minecraft servers The blog states that your report will be reviewed by a moderator. It's difficult to determine what constitutes an authentic and actionable report at this point but it's worth knowing all about it. Beyond that, the other big change is that the fantastic Minecraft allay can now be duplicated. You can do this by giving them an amethyst shard, but duplication has the benefit of a 2.5-minute cooldown. This should alleviate any worries about how many allay mobs are out there. Plus, more of an adorable thing could only be good news, right? In more non-official news, we're hugely fond of this Mario Kart mod for Minecraft. It adds the karts you love to Minecraft, but it also adds some awesome aquatic features.
