Thalassery Fort
Thalassery Fort, also known as Tellicherry Fort, is an ancient monument situated in Thalassery town of Kannur district in Kerala. Built by the British East India Company in 1708, it was initially intended as a warehouse for pepper and cardamom. Over time, the fort evolved into a strategic center for British military operations on the Malabar Coast. Today, the fort is preserved by the Archaeological Survey of India.
