Hima Das is a famous Sportsperson in India. She is from Assam and her parents are farmers by profession. Hima is the first Indian athlete to win a gold medal. She was appointed as a Deputy Superintendent Of Police (DSP) in Assam Police under the state's Integrated Sport Policy
Being just 18 years old, she is the youngest and the only Indian to achieve such an accomplishment. She was clocked at 51.32 seconds in Gold Coast this year in April to set an Indian U-20 record.
